Facial Contouring and Volume
ABOUT
Facial volume and contouring refers to the assessment of facial structure, proportions and changes that occur over time due to natural ageing, genetics and lifestyle factors. These changes may affect facial balance, definition and overall harmony.
Consultations For Cosmetic Enhancements
Our approach is tailored to your individual anatomy and aesthetic goals, with treatment plans designed to enhance your natural features while maintaining facial balance and expression. Individual results may vary.
Following the latest TGA guidelines, we are unable to display specific cosmetic treatments. Nevertheless, please be assured that we offer a range of personalised options to address your unique concerns. We recommend booking a consultation with one of our experienced nurses, where we can discuss your goals, assess your suitability and create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.
Areas of Concern
Following this, we will develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and suitability, ensuring all options are explained transparently.
Every treatment is guided by clinical expertise and a strong focus on safety and ethical care.
All consultations at Hanné Aesthetics begin with a thorough clinical assessment conducted by our experienced registered nurse. This process includes a detailed discussion of your concerns and preferences.
Common areas include:
-
Consideration of lip shape, proportion, hydration and facial harmony
-
Assessment of facial support, contour and changes in volume that may affect overall balance
-
Assessment of profile, projection and balance between facial features.
-
Assessment of changes in volume that may affect facial proportions.
-
Consideration of tear trough concerns and surrounding facial structure.
-
Evaluation of definition, structure and overall facial balance.
-
Assessment of changes related to facial movement, support and volume distribution.
-
Evaluation of concerns that may benefit from treatments designed to improve skin appearance and texture.
Each treatment is customised based on individual needs, ensuring results that enhance your natural features.
Suitability
Your consultation gives us time to understand your concerns, review your medical history and assess whether treatment is appropriate for you.
We’ll consider your individual anatomy, medications and any health factors that may affect suitability, including pregnancy and breastfeeding. In some cases, we may recommend waiting or exploring another approach.
We’ll talk openly about what treatment can realistically achieve, so you can make an informed decision. If we feel it isn’t the right option for you, we’ll explain why and guide you on appropriate next steps.
Cost
Prices for treatments in this category are not published. Australian advertising regulations restrict what clinics may publish about treatments involving prescription-only substances, and we comply with those rules.
The practical reason is the same. What is appropriate for you cannot be determined before you are assessed, so any figure published in advance would be a guess.
You will be given a full cost at your consultation, before anything proceeds, with no obligation to go ahead.
Common Questions
-
Common and expected
Bruising, which can last one to two weeks
Swelling and redness at the treated area
Tenderness for a day or two
Headache
Small raised marks that settle within an hour
Less common, and more serious
Spread to adjacent muscles, which can cause drooping of an eyelid or brow
Asymmetry, including an uneven smile or uneven brow position
Difficulty forming particular expressions
Infection at the treated site
Allergic reaction
The point people most often miss: effects in this category are temporary, and so are the complications. If an unwanted effect occurs, it generally cannot be reversed. It has to wear off, and that can take several weeks to several months.
-
Recovery varies between people. You may need to change your plans, and it is worth knowing that before you book rather than after.
The first few hours: Stay upright. Avoid rubbing, massaging or applying pressure to the treated area, including facials and sleeping face down.
The first 24 hours: No exercise, no alcohol, no saunas, hot yoga or steam. Heat and elevated blood flow can affect both comfort and outcome.
Bruising: One to two weeks is normal and it cannot always be avoided. Some people bruise every time. Some never do.
Before an event: Allow a minimum of two weeks, and four if it matters. Do not book in the fortnight before a wedding, a shoot or anything you cannot reschedule.
If something is not settling: Contact the clinic. Do not wait for your next appointment and do not wait to see whether it resolves on its own.
-
Before and after photographs for in clinic use only. Due to changes in legislation, we are no longer allowed to share before and afters on our website or social media.
-
Testimonials about regulated health services are prohibited in Australia, for every registered practitioner and every clinic. Any clinic showing you them is not following the rules.
-
Please book in for a review consultation if you do not already have one, and you can discuss any concerns with your treating practitioner.
-
Most clients experience only minor discomfort. A numbing cream is available to ease any sensitivity
-
Yes, you must be 18 years or older.
-
A review appointment is recommended around two weeks after treatment, once the full effect has developed. It takes fifteen minutes and lets your nurse assess the outcome properly and adjust the plan where needed.
